These are the landmarks in the history of Invis Multimedia, also the history of digital content development in Kerala, India.
May 1995 : Indiavision International, a partnership firm for multimedia production was formed and legally registered in the State of Kerala, Republic of India.
November 1995 : The name of the firm was altered as Invis Multimedia. Small Industries Development Bank of India, Kochi granted direct financial assistance for the project.
March 1996 : Started commercial operations with a full fledged multimedia lab, for CD authoring and high-end video production. It was India’s first Apple studio.
November 1996 : Project to develop the first interactive mini encyclopedia on Kerala formally launched by Sri. E. K. Nayanar, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala.
June 1998 : Kerala: The Green Symphony, the first cross platform CD-ROM (Win & Mac)developed in India with macromedia Director, Apple Quick Time etc. formally released by Sri. E. K. Nayanar, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala.
December 1998 : Invis Multimedia was selected and appointed as the IT consultants of Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala for designing and creating www.keralatourism.org, the official website of Kerala Tourism.
June 2001 : Invis Multimedia initiated steps to promote Invis Infotech Private Limited, a joint venture with Kerala Venture Capital Fund. Kerala Venture Capital Fund is jointly promoted by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Kerala Financial Corporation and Small Industries Development Bank of India.
August 2001 : Ayurveda: The Mantra of Niramaya, a comprehensive CD-ROM in association with Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, India was formally released by Sri. A. B. Vajpayee, Honourable Prime Minister of India.
September 2001 : Invis Multimedia was selected for venture funding by Kerala Venture Capital Fund, jointly promoted by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
May 2002 : Invis Multimedia was admitted as a partner in UNESCO’s Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity.
January 2003 : ‘Panchakarma: Ayurveda’s Mantra of Rejuvenation’, a Video CD on a branch of Ayurveda, viz Panchakarma was formally launched by Sri. A B Vajpayee, Honourable Prime Minister of India, along with other titles of Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. Panchakarma was produced in association with Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala.
November 2003 : Invis Multimedia forayed into book publishing, resulting in a Coffee Table Book, titled ‘Panchakarma: Ayurveda’s Mantra of Rejuvenation’, developed in association with Kerala Tourism.
January 2004 : Musical Heritage; a series of immaculate Audio CDs, featuring traditional music; both vocal and instrumental with leading artists and singers.
August 2004 : Invis Multimedia formally launched a DVD series on the classical dance forms of India. The package has 10 dance forms of India, mostly classical, and is the first of its kind in India, featuring Bharatanatyam, Kutiyattam, Odissi, Kathak, Mohiniyattam Kathakali, Kuchippudi, Yakshagana, Manipuri and Satriya. The title was launched by Smt. Renuka Choudhary, State Minister for Tourism, Government of India.
August 2005 : Invis entrusted the marketing of its titles to Culture Vistas Marketing Services Private Limited, a company specializing in the marketing of cultural products.
October 2006 : Invis started mobile content generation and developing solutions for distributing content on mobile.
May 2007 : Invis developed a video portal on Kerala, viz. keralavideos.com. This site offers the visitors hundred of professionally made video clips on Kerala.
